Others are joining me in the SuperHealthyMe Lifestyle
One of the most encouraging things about this new SuperHealthyMe lifestyle I have embraced is being joined by others who have read of my goal to lose weight by changing the way I eat and exercise.
Hardly a week goes by without someone, either through an e-mail or perhaps a Twitter or Facebook post, writing to tell me this blog has inspired them to make changes, too.
People like Joe Atwell. of Waterford, MI., who discovered this blog in January.
“To be exact I started January 16th,” said Joe. “To be totally honest your progress has been very encouraging to me, even when you ate pizza and knew you shouldn’t have. I am encouraged to know that I am not in this fight alone.”
When Joe started, he weighed 278 pounds. Now, he’s 254 and dropping.
Just in that short period of time, Joe has noticed some significant health changes.
“I no longer take three different blood pressure med’s, or any cholesterol med’s. My blood work came back amazing… My doctor said as I continue to loose weight the threat of fatty liver will be gone. My progress so far is not much visually, I have included a couple pictures. Thanks to you I feel as though I am not alone.”
Indeed he is not. Joe has seven buddies following the healthy eating plan with him, using an iPhone app called My Fitness Pal to track food and exercise.
“We all encourage one another,” he says. “Thanks again for being so committed to your program, it has helped me tremendously.”
